Special....

So brilliant was the Constitution [and the men that created it] that it was not imposed through force but rather submitted for ratification. (9, 173) As far as different nation’s constitutions around the world are concerned the United States has out lasted the rather short terms of a few years that most the rest of the world has suffered. Etched out with compromises (71-95, 96-115) and still lasting the test of time, with the addition of the flexibility to be changed, engaged and amended our Constitution really is “Amazing, Brilliant, [and] Miraculous.”

The Constitution is definitely a significant document, not only in American History, but in world history as well. It is a document that has lasted generations and has served as a model for many subsequent constitutions worldwide. Our constitution was eloquently put together by men who agreed to disagree on the most important issues that would help shape the country we would become. For a document to be written over 200 years ago to still be the guiding force for our nation is most definitely worthy to be called “amazing, brilliant, and especially miraculous.”

Return to 1. "Amazing, Brilliant, Miraculous." Is the Constitution really so significant?
