Well, I had a great time. I enjoyed Hon John Lewis, Dr. Eric Foner, and getting all that free stuff from the National Geographic booth!
I'm hoping our school BEP committee elects to get a Maps101 subscription with our pooled money.
(I really enjoyed the maid service too haha)

I enjoyed the NCSS as well. I learned a wealth of tricks that I can take back with me and use in my classroom. I attended a seminar on Thursday that just shed a whole new light on the use of primary sources in the classroom. As a result, I have applied these techniques to my classroom in the upcoming spring semester in one class. Further, Ryan O'Donnell and Teacher-Created material presented a new way to review for assessments and tests in the form of game shows. Teacher crated game shows allow teachers to interact with the students in a fun and creative way. The NCSS was an enjoyable experience and I learned many ideas and exposed to teaching history in a new and exciting way.

I have been trying to utilize all the new technology in our classrooms. AND figure out how to make that 'green screen' movie that Ryan showed us last summer. If only I had a decent amount of planning time!!
I want to make a movie for my "tech piece" this semester, but the song I have chosen to use as a background, the President's Rap, is now (thankfully) out dated.posting.php?mode=reply&f=71&t=190#
Oops, did I make a political comment?
